Project Overview

This bathroom and ensuite renovation in Forest Lake was designed to transform two outdated spaces into modern, practical, and visually refined environments that better support daily living.

From the initial consultation through to completion, the project was delivered with a strong focus on communication, planning, and attention to detail. The client’s vision was carefully considered, with expert guidance provided to refine the layout, materials, and finishes to ensure both bathrooms achieved a cohesive and high-end result.

Large format stone-look porcelain tiles were selected for both walls and floors, creating a seamless and low-maintenance finish while enhancing the sense of space. Feature elements, including vertical finger tiles and green herringbone tiles, were incorporated to introduce texture and visual interest without overwhelming the overall design.

The walk-in showers were constructed with frameless glass screens to maximise openness, complemented by recessed niches that provide practical built-in storage. These niches were finished with contrasting mosaic tiles, adding both function and a subtle design feature.

A mix of matte black and brushed brass fixtures was used to create contrast and elevate the overall aesthetic. These finishes work in balance with the neutral tile palette and timber-look cabinetry, resulting in a modern yet warm interior.

Floating vanities with woodgrain finishes were installed to improve visual space while introducing natural texture. Above-counter basins and wall-mounted tapware help maintain clean lines and a clutter-free benchtop, enhancing usability for everyday routines.

In the main bathroom, a freestanding bathtub was positioned to take advantage of natural light, creating a relaxing focal point within the space. The layout across both bathrooms was carefully optimised to improve flow, functionality, and long-term usability.

Behind the finishes, proper substrate preparation and waterproofing were prioritised to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and to deliver a durable, long-lasting result.
