How long does it take to build a custom home?

It depends on the size and complexity of your home, but most of our custom home builds take around 6 to 12 months from planning to handover.

Can I use my own plans with HEW Projects?

Absolutely. Whether you have already worked with a designer or just have a basic concept, we will work with your plans or help you develop new ones.

Do you handle council approvals and permits?

Yes. We manage the required approvals and permits for your build, so you do not have to stress about paperwork or delays.

Can you build on sloping or narrow blocks?

Yes. We design for challenging sites, including sloping blocks, narrow lots and tricky access.

Do you build granny flats and dual living homes?

Yes. We design homes with integrated or standalone granny flats, as well as knockdown rebuilds.

Which areas do you build in?

Brisbane, Logan, the Gold Coast and the Redlands, from our base in Slacks Creek.

How much does it cost to build a custom home in Queensland?

It depends on the size of the home, the design, the block and the finishes you choose. Sloping sites, engineering and council requirements also affect the total. We price each home from your plans and site, so you get a quote for your build rather than a generic estimate.

Do you offer design and construct?

Yes. If you do not have plans yet, we help you develop the design and then build it, so one team carries the project from first sketch to handover. Our director, Wale Makinde, holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in architecture, so design and buildability are worked through together.
