01 The starting point
Back to a blank canvas
This Calamvale bathroom was fully demolished and rebuilt from the ground up. The plumbing was upgraded and fixtures repositioned to suit the new layout, then new wall substrates went in.
A compliant waterproofing system was applied to Australian Standards before a single tile was laid, so the finish is built to last.
02 The feature tile
Soft green, laid vertically
The star of the room is a glossy subway tile in soft green, stacked vertically across the upper walls. The gentle wave in the glaze catches the light and gives the room movement without a busy pattern.
Below it, large-format matte porcelain in a warm neutral grounds the space, and the floor is graded to a square floor waste. The tiling is the detail that stands out most in this project.
03 The finish
Bath, shower and vanity in one calm palette
A bath with a frameless glass shower screen offers both a bath and a shower in one footprint while keeping the room open. Chrome fittings, including a rain shower head and a handheld shower on a rail, keep the finish consistent.
A white vanity with an integrated basin and an arched mirror add soft, modern lines. See more of our bathroom renovations in Brisbane.
