01 The brief

A fresh start inside the same walls

The aim for this Booval bathroom was simple: modernise a dated room and make it bright, elegant and easy to live with. The space was stripped out completely and rebuilt from the substrate up.

The existing layout already suited everyday family life, so the footprint stayed the same. Everything inside it is new.

02 The wet zone

Shower over bath, done properly

The shower over bath was kept for practicality, now with a fixed frameless glass panel that keeps the room open. 300x600mm marble-look porcelain lines the wet zone, finished at the top with a slim brushed brass trim against the white VJ walls.

Behind the tiles, the substrate was properly prepared and a waterproofing system was installed to Australian Standards, so the bathroom performs as well as it looks.

03 The details

Brushed brass, start to finish

Brushed brass ties the room together: a twin rail shower with a large rain head, wall mixers and bath spout, a brass shower shelf, the tile trim, the basin mixer and the cabinet pulls.

A white vanity with an integrated basin and a slim gold-framed mirror soften the clean lines of the room. See more of our bathroom renovations in Ipswich.
